Attitudes, skills and implementation of evidence-based practice: a national cross-sectional survey of licensed naprapaths in Sweden - Chiropractic & Manual Therapies

This study investigated for the first time, the attitudes, skills and implementation of EBP among Swedish licensed naprapaths. By contrast, previous Swedish studies using EBASE have yielded relatively higher response rates, including surveys of osteopaths (31%) [34] and chiropractors (33%) [13]. Whether this profile is representative of the broader Swedish naprapathy workforce is unclear due to the lack of accessible data on this profession. Most naprapaths reported working in clinical practice, commonly practicing alone or together with colleagues of the same or a complementary or conventional health profession. Encouragingly, the majority of respondents reported using clinical practice guidelines to a moderate extent to inform their clinical decision-making.
