Canada’s antitrust watchdog widened its investigation into whether Google’s online advertising business is engaging in predatory pricing. 3 Canada’s antitrust watchdog, the Competition Bureau, expanded on an investigation that initially began in 2020. On Thursday, the agency said it would look into whether Google is using predatory pricing and harming competition. “Canadian businesses choose to use our advertising products because they’re effective and reliable at helping them reach their customers and grow.”3 The Competition Bureau announced the expanded investigation on Thursday.
