Now the family, who are Irish citizens and normally live in Dublin, are stranded in his parents’ house in Khan Younis. The situation is especially difficult for the children, who are 8, 4 and 3 years old. “There was one night where it was really bad… they woke up screaming.”But Ibrahim says his oldest son, Sami, is most affected. “He understands what’s going on… he can hear and feel the frustration we are going through and he is really worried.”
