For CF patients with critical conditions, surgery might also become a necessary life-saving route [7,8,9,10]. For the time being, there is a knowledge gap concerning the usefulness of MT in CF care. All included studies were graded based on the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine 2011 Levels of Evidence. However, MT as presented in the studies included in this review has rarely been part of CF care. In contrast, the results from the studies included in the current review indicated significantly positive outcomes solely regarding subjective measures.
