Pornhub sues Texas over new law demanding age verification and health warnings

The advocacy group Free Speech Coalition, which lobbies against censorship laws related to obscenity, is one of the plaintiffs in the case alongside Pornhub. The plaintiffs are hoping the court agrees to block the law before it goes into effect in less than a month. In the complaint they filed, the accuse the law of being a ploy to obtain personal information from viewers of adult content, as such information is required to verify age. Instead, the complaint references on-device content filtering, which it states is a better means of restricting underage access to explicit content.
