Lumbar range of motion is reduced, and straight leg raise provokes the LBP bilaterally but there is no radiation of pain. The patient is told by his PCP that he has two degenerative discs likely causing his low back pain1. Physical therapy is recommended. The patient reluctantly agrees to physical therapy. He tells the surgeon that his pain has not changed and that, if anything, it seems to be worsening.
